The UK's Royal Commission on Human Medicines (RAIM) has issued a recommendation for the UK to stop using Viagra for erectile dysfunction (ED).

The RACIM recommends that all erectile dysfunction drugs not recommended for patients be used for ED and that patients should be advised to have their prescriptions reviewed prior to any medication being considered for treatment.

The report has also recommended that doctors must stop prescribing Viagra for patients who have not responded to their Viagra treatment.

The recommendations come after a review of the evidence and the recommendations for the medical literature. The review concluded that the current evidence is inconclusive and has failed to show significant differences between the effects of Viagra and sildenafil, or placebo, in patients with ED.

The RACIM recommended that the RACIM not recommend prescribing Viagra for patients with cardiovascular disease who had a history of stroke, or for patients who had undergone a heart bypass surgery.

A number of previous studies have suggested that Viagra may be associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular death in some patients, although there was a small increased risk with a placebo, and a small risk with sildenafil. The RACIM reviewed the available literature on the use of Viagra in patients with cardiovascular disease and identified a number of trials that had shown no increased risk of cardiovascular death in those with diabetes or other blood vessel diseases.

The RACIM also recommended that doctors should be aware that patients taking nitrates or recreational drugs should not take Viagra as it can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. This is because Viagra is the only approved drug for erectile dysfunction.

The RACIM recommends that the use of Viagra for patients with erectile dysfunction should be limited to those with a diagnosis of erectile dysfunction or a family history of the condition.

There is also some evidence that Viagra can lead to sexual problems in men.

Viagra was the first drug licensed for the treatment of ED, and the most commonly prescribed medication for patients with ED. The RACIM recommended that all erectile dysfunction drugs not recommended for patients be used for ED and that patients should be advised to have their prescriptions reviewed prior to any medication being considered for treatment.

A number of other drugs have also been found to cause sexual side effects including nitrates, which are sometimes used to treat angina (chest pain).

The RACIM recommended that doctors should be aware of the potential risks of using Viagra and the effects of taking nitrates and recreational drugs on the body. It advised that men who have heart disease should not take Viagra if they have been prescribed any nitrate or recreational drug.
